Press briefing on amendments to Basic Education Act, Vocational Education Act and Higher Education Act

The Government is due to submit a temporary legislative amendment to the Basic Education Act to Parliament at its plenary session on Thursday 4 June. According to the proposal, exceptional educational arrangements could be introduced at the local level in basic education, if it is deemed necessary in autumn 2020 due to the coronavirus situation (COVID-19).

Minister of Education Li Andersson and Minister of Science and Culture Hanna Kosonen will be presenting the amendments at a press briefing shortly after the plenary session.
