Copyright in Finland

Copyright in Finland is under the mandate of the Ministry of Education and Culture. The Ministry drafts copyright-related bills for parliamentary decision making and negotiates international agreements involving copyright.

It endorses copyright societies that represent different fields as licensing bodies and agrees on their tasks. It also obtains permits for central government and selected educational institutions in a centralised way.
